2019 - ONGOING
An estimated 500,000 unsafe abortions are performed annually in Argentina. In 2018 the Argentinian government rejected a bill to legalize abortion in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy. Rejection of the bill means that abortion remains legal only in cases of rape and danger to the life of the woman. Despite this setback the feminist movement is growing and has already opened a huge window for the debates on women’s rights to the entire continent.
